Justin Boersma was raised in Kelowna and was recruited by Park University in Missouri of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in 2001. Over his four year career with the Pirates he has received many accolades. He was named team captain after his freshman year and captained the team for the remainder of his collegiate career. He was named to the All-Conference Team for three consecutives years and received the All-Conference Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2004. In his junior and senior year, he was named an All-American Scholar Athlete and an All-American Honourable Mention. In 2005, he was the recipient of Park University’s Athlete of the Year Award. Guiding the Pirates to an appearance in the National Championship in 2003 was the highlight of his time at Park. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA earning a Masters degree in Educational Administration in 2006. He also played for the Okanagan Challenge in 1998 helping the team win the Pacific Coast Soccer League Championship that same year. He has been an assistant coach of the varsity high school soccer team while working for his previous school district in Missouri and he was the assistant coach of the men’s soccer team at UBC Okanagan in 2008. Justin is currently teaching grade 4 at Davidson Road Elementary School.


Morgan Marrs

Morgan Marrs is very familiar with the British Columbia Colleges’ Athletics Association as he played three years for Okanagan University College in the mid-1990s being named team captain, earning OUC MVP honours as well as being selected as a BCCAA First Team All-Star in 1996. He went on to play two more years for the University of Victoria Vikings. He also played for the Okanagan Challenge from 1994 to 2008 where he was team captain and was selected as the team MVP in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from UVIC in 2000 and is currently completing his Bachelor of Education with UBC Okanagan. Morgan has had head coaching experience with the Okanagan Challenge for two years and with the provincial champions Kelowna United U18 Boys team in 2006.
